In 2020, Virginia ratified the Equal Rights Amendment, the 38th and final state needed to add gender equality to the U.S. Constitution.
Because the Amendment has yet to be published, artists around the country are elevating the issue with beautiful, inclusive works of art. The imagery depicts a modern, inclusive American effort for constitutional gender equality and their masterpieces are energizing advocates and art collectors alike.
On February 17th, from 7 - 9 pm (VIP reception, 5:30 - 7 pm), join the artists and VoteEquality for a tour of the artwork which will remain on display at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture through April 2nd. VIP reception will include drinks and heavy hors d'oeuvres, 7-9 pm reception will include drinks and light hors d'oeuvres. Prints and some originals will be available for purchase at the event.
VoteEquality would like to especially thank the Virginia Museum of History and Culture and our principal community partners: the Eta Tau Chapter (VCU) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and YWCA Richmond.
